Cusco to Machu Picchu: Salkantay Trek

We had to fight the rain and cold on the way to Machu Picchu, we had to crawl in a lot of blankets to avoid the freezing cold and the altitude wasn’t the easiest either. Instead of the classic camping tour we had a great alternative though: Staying at little guest houses on the way, having a roof above the head, great food, shower, and a tour through a coffee plantation! The second day we arrived for lunch at Davids house right when he was watching the Confederations cup final Chile – Germany. As soon as he found out we’re German, he turned the TV, cleared the couch and told us all about the team he knew.
