Sucre & Potosí

Sucre is supposed to be one of the nicest city within Bolivia due to it’s many colonial, white buildings and little parks. The Spanish came to Potosí to exploit the silver mines (and the people that had to work in the mines), and created those two cities with their money. While working conditions aren’t as bad as then anymore, they still don’t look too good. We had an oppressive tour through the small, dark and wet tunnels and met some workers on the way. Payment was made by coca leaves and high percentage alcohol that keeps them going…
